01 Explorer Sport Trac
I have an 01 sport trac that at slower speeds the wheels lock when applying the brake. At first it was the rear and i adjusted them in so they would quit. I believe the front are grabbing now or a mixture of both. Th pads and shoes still have plenty on them and dont need to be changed. The springs and such in the drums look to be in great shape. There are no lighgts that come on when this happens. If anyone has any idead id love to hear them.
Thank You
Nathan

Check brake fluid level and/or put new fluid in.

Do both the red and yellow "BRAKE" lights come on when you first turn the ignition switch to "ON"?

Fluid Level is good and only the yellow abs lights lights up for a second thens goes off when i first turn the key over.

Replace the bulb for the red indicator when you have a chance. It monitors parking brake actuation and fluid levels, not your problem though. You must determine if it's the rear only or if the front locks also. Try it on loose gravel or damp grass. It's odd that it would be both and no ABS light/codes. If it's rear only make sure the parking brake is fully disengaging first. Release the parking brake and check the cable running to the back to verify there's no tension on it. Since you have backed off the adjustment and if it's still doing it then the problem could be in the hose from the hard line on the chassis to the distribution block on the rear axle housing. It may not be releasing the pressure from the rear wheel cylinders. Make sure it's not pinched. If not you may need to remove it and check for blockage. The inner liner of the hose can deteriorate and block it internally, not allowing the complete release of the pressure. Thus when applying the brake you're adding more pressure to the pressure already applied = lock-up. But the first thing is to determine if it's rear or front and rear.
