01 explore sport 4x4 light on 4x4 wont work

i have a 01 explorer and the 4x4 wont work light turn on but nothing im in southern nh just had a blizzad and no 4x4 plz help if any one has same prob or had and how was it fixed :exp:

Your problem could be a few things. easiest way to start out would be to turn the switch to 4x4 high and check for voltage at the brown wire on the t case shift motor. If there is voltage, the problem lies in the shift motor or t case, if there isn't voltage, you have a fault in the electrical circuit.
