'01 Job 1

I'm torn between an '03 4wd/25k miles/$15k and an '01 2wd/86k miles/$7500. Both are pristine, the '01 had oil changed every 3k with Quaker State dino, the 03 with Mobil1 Synthetic. I have read a few posts here about '01 engine failures. I'm curious about the other side of the story. Who has an '01 job 1 with high miles that hasn't had engine issues, other than timing chain rattle? I will put less than 10k miles a year on this vehicle, if that. Mostly local driving, with a couple of trips of 400-1200 miles. I'm looking specifically for comments on the reliability of '01 job 1 engines, I understand the rest of the factors, $, 2wd vs 4wd,etc. Thanks.

The 03 seems like a no brainer to me.. Offer 12k..

I have a 01 job1 with 4wd with 207000 km.s , about 120,000 miles, and have had no engine issues other than the timing chain rattle(knock on wood ).

I preder 4wd, but if you want to save some $$, I wouldnt see any mojor issues with the job 1.
