01 mounty 98 explorer headlight interchangeable?

I found a 01 mounty with aftermarket clear projector headlight housings at my local JY, and I am thinking about putting them on my 98 explorer. I took measurements and everything looks really close. Has anyone swapped between a mountaineer and explorer before? BTW these projectors also have what must be a HID setup because there is a ballast on each.
