Okay, this morning, i could barely keep it running. I had to tag team the gas and break for a bit. I was really low on gas, but the light hadn't come on yet. Truck has 55k on it. It felt like a fuel delivery prob. Anyway, after putting more gas in, and opening it up a bit while driving, things ran fine. At home, while in park, i get a serious stumble at around 3800-4k rpms. Now while driving, i can floor it, go well up to 4500 rpm's without a prob. I changed the fuel filter, and it still has this serious stumble at just under 4k rpms. Seems like it just isnt getting fuel very well. Any suggestions?

....and if you let your foot off the gas it would cut off right?....but if you keep pressure applied on the gas it would run? I have had this same problem. It goes away for months at a time and comes back randomly for a day or 2. If i leave it parked for about 10 min or more and go start it up, it will start and then the rpm's will go all the way down and it will shutter and cut off or just start and cut right off. If I would hold the gas down for a few and run it down the road hard then it would be fine. It's the weirdest thing. I think it only happens when I let my gas get all the way down close to E.

the stumble in park may just be your rev limiter doing what it is supposed to do

well, i was wondering about that. It stumbles just like a rev limiter should, but since it was stalling before the filter change, i gunned it a bit. I dont remember ever running it that high in park before, so I think you may be right, but I'll see how things are and get back with ya'll. But I have a shiny new fuel filter! :bounce: :burnout:

try putting on a idle air control valve part # 9f715

try tapping on the old one with a hammer and see if it clears up if it does it is the idle air control valve

I have never run mine completely empty, but far enough down to the E that the "Check Guages" light will come on and have not experienced any stumbling probs. So I would venture to say it is the IAC, possibly TPS or FPR.
