Love this forum, it's helped me do lots of jobs on our 02 4.0. Now I have to post because I've not found an answer by searching.
Have a weird issue with it. It seems to be hunting around under hard acceleration, at first I thought it was the tranny, but I tested it tonight and it does not do it in 4x4 high, only it auto, so now I'm thinking transfer case or sensor. It's only noticeable at WOT or almost WOT, under casual easy driving it does not happen. No CEL. The module was replaced a long time ago back in 04 at 20k miles, it's sitting at 117k miles now. I'm thinking it might be as easy as needing the transfer case fluid changed? Just wondered if anyone else has experienced this?
