'02 5.0 swap

hello everyone. my name is chris and i live in central florida. thank you for the welcome! i've just recently aquired a '02 trac 2wd with timing guides in the oil pan from sohc. v6. so it is coming out from under the lift today hopefully with the engine/trans on the groung and sorting everything out for a 5.0 transplant from '00 mountaineer. and i would greatly appreciate any help with keeping the '00 tune and hardwiring mounty's pats module into trac wiring. thank you

I thought someone had done this, but from what I have seen this swap isn't really recommended since the 4.6 is so readily available for the 3rd Gen. A 4.6 swap would be much easier since it was a factory option, just swap out harnesses.

If you do the 5.0 you would also need the corresponding harness and figure out how it would splice into your existing system...
