 New poster here.
Our 02 v8 eddie bauer has stalled three times at different intervals (sometimes days apart - sometimes weeks apart) but she cranks right back up after put in neutral either while the vehicle is still rolling or after we coast to a stop. Any clues ???.
135k - Runs great otherwise - We really love this truck. Only other problem we are experiencing is some transmission slippage and it comes and goes. I do not think this is related but thought I would mention it.
Thanks, you can post here or email me direct:

Could be a bunch of different things. Are you getting a check engine light? Possibilities are dirty/damaged MAF, IAC, bad plugs, vacuum leak, clogged fuel filter, dirty air filter....the list is long....

Thanks, I have not gotten a code and everything maintenance wise is up to date. The Trottle Position Sensor / EGR & EGR Sensor / Mas Air Flow / Idle Air Controller all seem to be fine - they usually trigger the computer to code and with past experiences they have caused different reactions than what I am getting here.

it might need a PCM update... mine did and it seems that the idle stays a little higher while decelerating before dipping to 500 rpms while stopped. Before if you watched closely it would fluctulate a little, and every so often stall. It threw no codes and it started right back up

Thanks, anybody out there run a superchip/hypertech program???
I have one in my '04 Fx4 simply because I could not stand the lack of instant response from the factory "drive by wire" set up. the program really helped my F150. This explorer has to be under rated on Hp or the competition is overated. Our friends have a Blaxer with the 275 hp gm six and we can dus t them easily.
