02 Explorer anti-theft module location?

A search did not help. Any one know the location of the OEM anti-theft module for a 02 Explorer. It has stopped working; no led activity. I know the FOB is good since I can test it at O'Reilly. bt

the vsm is just behind the rear passenger seat underneath the b pillar.

I saw in some other VSM posts about listening for a relay click when turning on the ignition. I suppose this relay is in or near the VSM? Now I only need to find how to remove the interior panel to access the VSM. bt
