I have a 2002 exxplorer with a 4.6. I threw a rod and damaged the block and i am looking for a new engine i found one from a 06 with 45k on it for 300 bucks. It is the 3 valve which has the variable cam phasers. My question is because mine is a 2 valve without the vcp will it work. I have researched everywhere to find out but cant find anything on it. I know everything else will bolt right up just not sure on this. Any help would be awesome.
