Since the wether has become a little nippy.. My explorer stalls constantly. It will not start unless I press the gas. I have to keep my eye on the tach and keep the rpms above 500 or it will stall even when I have just come off the highway for 15 mins...

Any Ideas?

Sounds like the Throttle position sensor, do you get a Check Engine light?

If it won't maintain idle speed unless you keep your foot on the throttle, and its running ok otherwise, the problem is probably the IAC (idle air control) valve. If you search you will find tons of info - it is a common issue on 2nd gen Explorers.

Fixed?

Did you fix problem? if yes what did you do I'm having same problems.
