02 mountaineer wiper

I have recently purchased a 02 mountaineer

One of the problems I am trying to fix is a front wiper issue

If I use the wiper fluid the wipers will stay on until I turn off the engine. When using the regular wiper function they will work fine, until I turn them off and they decide to stop in what ever position they had been in when I made the switch

I have replaced the multifunction switch and no luck.

I have reseated the fuse and relays but again... No luck.

Is this possibly a wiper motor issue? Or should I change out the relays?

Welcome aboard!!

When I bought my Ex I had messed up wipers too. I changed the relays & the MFS with no luck. It turned out to be the wiper motor.

I got a Motorcraft motor pretty cheap from www.rockauto.com They are a vendor here and offer forum members a discount.

The motor worked!
Found a close out for under $40, swap was pretty easy.
