03 Mountaineer wipers won't turn off!

Has anybody experienced this?

When I turn on my front wipers, I can't turn them off. The speed / intermit. works, but when I twist the switch to the "off" position nothing happens.
When I turn off the truck...the wipers stay on! I removed the fuse and nothing changes. I have to pop the hood and remove the relay.

Any suggestions?

It may be the relay. That seems like the best bet. The fuse would either be blown or not, causing them to either work in whatever manner, or not at all so its not that. When relays go, they cause fishy activity.......in my opinion its that. Just go order another one from a parts store if you don't figure anything else out to be the problem. Prob around $20-
