Hello,
Have 62,00 miles and have been told I have rear end problems. Supposedly due to aluminum housing on the rear end....heating and cooling cycles cause it to warp and seep oil? Significant vibration in drive train when starting and slowly turning. Been told it is common in this vehicle. Anyone else have similar problems? What kind of fix am I looking at?

just reading the posts over the last year it seems this is a common problem. some people have rear end trouble at 10k miles, some never do. it seems hit or miss.

Ours has a high pitched whine at speeds over 50MPH. We took it to the dealership and we were told that Ford realizes there is a problem with them, but has no idea how to fix it. So I guess that gives us a little hope

Remember guys, Traveleast is dealing with a IRS 8.8 setup.

Wish I could help, but I don't follow a lot of the 3rd Gen stuff, sorry.
