02 Sport Fog Light Broken

I Have An 02 Sport And The Driver Foglamp Was I Guess Hit By A Rock And It Cracked The Glass And The Bulb Is Broken On The Inside. Do I Need To Get A Whole New Fog Lamp Or Can I Just Replace The Bulb To Get It Working Again. I Heard That Moisture Could Have Broken The Bulb Since The Glass Was Cracked But Im Not Sure If The New Bulb Would Work With The Glass Being Cracked. Thanks For The Help

Look in your owners guide for the bulb type and number. On the '02 4-doors the fog lamps are #9145 which (I think) is a halogen bulb. If the housing is damaged it probably let moisture in which is bad for halogens.

replacing the bulb will work

I doubt it if the heat caused the glass to crack so most likely something hit it while driving

while a simple bulb will make it work again, its not really adviseable since moisture from the outside would just get onto your bulb - causing the bulb to break during operation / or burn out prematurely

(same reason why they have those labels on halogen bulbs saying "do not touch bulb")

rock got mine, no glass gone, but I checked ebay and I got my replacement for about 22 bucks + shipping
