02 Sport Shackle Install

I recently noticed that my X sagged in the rear. So after some research I decided to get some lift shackles.
Bought some lift shackles at Advanced Auto yesterday for $15.95.
Painted them with some rustoleum last night
And now Im on my way out to install them
Ill be sure to post some before and after pics as well as install pics
Who knows if I run into any snaggs Ill be sure to post on here about um.

Me getting frustrated with the shackles.

We ran into a problem. That shackles were made for smaller bolts than what was on my X. So we decided to drill out the holes to the right size. SNAG!!! We didnt have the right size bit. The biggest we had was a 1/2in so we decided to ream the holes

A project I anticipated only taking 30min turned into 3hrs. Other than that the install went very well.

No right now just went with the shackles to even out the wheel spacing. As soon as taxes come back I plan on purchasing a lift from pro comp. They insist that the k4023 kit will work with my sport...

looks good....did the shackels come with bolts or did you reuse the stock bolts?.....and what size were you supposed to drill them out to?

i reused the stock bolts. the ones that came with the shackles were too small and would have rattled around in the holes and bushings

Sorry to wake a dead thread, But I plan on doing this soon and wanted to know how you supported the truck while you did this and if you ran into any snags while installing? (besides the bolt diameter)

i used the jack to hold and move the axle and used jackstands near the front spring mounts to hold the X up. if i had the right size bit the shackles would have been done in the originally estimated 30min

I have an 02 4WD sport and the ass end is sagging. How much of a lift did the shackles add

shackles will bring the rear up 1.5-1.75 inches.
