Last Monday driving home from dinner my transmission starting acting up (slipping and shifting hard) and my OD light starting flashing like a strobe light. The next morning the same thing plus my check engine light was on. I took the truck to AAMCO and they ran the code ..blah blah blah.. something about broken bands. Basically I was not going to make it the 48 miles to school that day.
A week later....

I drove around on surface streets after getting the truck back and felt a huge difference in the way the truck drove from the start, after a while I hit the highway and put the hammer down. Around 4500 RPM it sounded like a belt under the hood started squeeling till the tranny upshifted and the Revs dropped. I hardly ever get on the throttle hard but i had to see how the new tranny felt. Anyways what could that squeeling belt be? Should I be worried? I have to take the truck back to AAMCO in 10 days for some sort of adjustment. Is this standard procedure?
