My '02 XLT w/ a 4.0 V6 at 40K miles, I think is experiencing some transmission slippage. I tow a boat & trailer that is approx 2,500lbs, and when I tow on the highway I always drive with the overdrive switch OFF. When I'm stopped and in (D) DRIVE and when I go to put it in (P) PARK it stops at (R) REVERSE...to get it in (P) I have to give it a 2nd try..from (R). Also, when I go to put it in (R) from (D) it hesitates for about 1-2 seconds. Sometimes when accelerating it will shift into the next high gear with a bit of a hesitation. Last year at 30K miles I' had the transmission fluid flushed and changed. And, this past winter I replaced a shift sensor (still under warrantee).
