Is it when you try to adjust the seat? If so Id see if anything is wedged in the seat tracks not letting it move and causing too much draw on the motor. If not, Just gotta find the short. I'd find the wiring harness to the seat for the and do continuity checks both to the fuse box and to the seat. If no, the motor could be shot.

No, it doesn't happen when I try to move the seat. I'll have it set for me, then my wife will drive it and try to move the seat forward and it won't go due to the fuse. Last time I replaced the fuse I moved the seat in all possible directions multiple times, but I couldn't get it to blow. I looked at the wires a little bit and didn't see anything unusual. I may have to remove the seat and take a better look.

Im having the same issue on my 02 mounty. At first I thought it was related to broken wire harness in driver door. Thanks to all the guys n gals on here i fixed that without breaking a sweat. Yet the fuse hase blown again. Ive checked the track, cleaned the elec connections under set, made sure proper fuse was in, and no moister in fuse box. Still i have no luck with this issue. The fuse seems to blow on its own, meaning the switch does not have to operating at the time it blows. It also does not effect any other components in vehicle. Any one please, these fuses r getting costly trying to diagnose problem.

If the fuse blows without touching the switch, I would suspect worn insulation on a wire that is touching ground. It could be in a place that vibration or a bump could cause it to move.
