'03 Explorer V8 dying when coming to a stop

About once a week when slowing to a stop my Explorer (4.6L V8) dies. Shove it in park and it fires right back up. Sometimes when this happens the RPM's jump up and down just before it dies. This happens when slowing to a stop, like at a stoplight or when pulling into the garage. Like I said, it does fire right back up. Any ideas? It currently has 71K miles, and I had the fuel filter replaced at 56K miles, and oil and filter changed regularly.

Post a result when you find out the solution. I am having the exact same problem. Its almost we are driving the same EX! I also have an 03, V8.
