Quick question for everyone. 03 mountaineer v8 AWD, 3.73 limited slip diffs. Was having a binding issue when turning so after researching on here, pulled the front driveshaft to see if it was the transfer case. Well the binding didn’t go away. Instead I’ve developed a loud clunk from the rear which I believe if from rotational play. The drive shaft will spin about half way before ever engaging the tires. There is a noticeable loss of pulling power when under load. Also, when trying to turn left there’s a loud clunk and the truck will pull left hard like that break is grabbing on that side. I’m pretty sure the rear is toast and am planning a rebuild, but wanted to double check if a bad rear could cause the pull to the side while turning. Not necessarily a hard turn, just normal twist and turns on the road.
