04 4.0 explorer is having a hard time starting

Was getting just a clicking sound when trying to start. I put a new battery in. I can atleast get it to crank now. It will fire up after a while. Any ideas on what is wrong?

i had a problem with my ex where it would not start up right away...especially if it was at a cold start up in the morning...i would have to crank it about 10 times before it started...it ended up being the relay to the fuel pump which is located in the engine bay in the fuse box...this is just an idea on where you can look
