over a week ago we filled up the tank to go on a trip, while driving I noticed the guage never came off full. we got to where we were going 90miles away and still on full. went to get gas and it only took less than 3gal. and that was having to try mulitple times. It has done the same thing ever since. sometimes it takes 1 gal to 3gal and has taken 4gal one time but that was just because it came all the way up the filler tube. Fuel gauge still stuck on full and has never moved.
I took off the vent tube from where it attaches to the solenoid and unplugged the solenoid, no difference. I elevated the rear of vehicle and removed the filler tube. Checked the check valve located there at where filler tube connects, clean and clear- pushes in easy. next step is to remove the tank and at that point not sure what next step is if I clean out the canister and it wont fix it. Didnt want to just do that and not know if I need to look into other things while I have the tank down. Thank you for any help
