Welcome to this forum! Does the check engine light turn on when you turn the key to the run position? If so, then there might be a code stored. The PCM & fuel pump won't turn on if there's no check engine light. Check the fuses if that happens. Listen for the sound of the fuel pump, and check to see if the inertia switch tripped if there's no sound from the fuel pump.

The check engine light comes on but wont start. Check the switch and its not tripped. I hear a humming sound from gas pump

If he thinks it is the timing chain, how about a compression test?

I just ran a code scanner on it and got the code p2106

What kind of scanner did you use? Did you use a scanner or a basic code reader? Some scanners or code readers can't read manufacturer specific codes or certain transmission related codes. Try to run the scan again with a different scanner if that's possible. If not, then run the scan again to see if another code is present. Check this link: p2106 p2135 Ford explorer - OBD-Codes.com

There was other codes but i fixed those first. New throttle position body, motor, sensor. My 4x4 kept flashing chaged both front hub bearings. Engine fail safe mode was on but shop cleared all the codes and only thing i got was my adv traction light is on and the code p2106. Ran scanner 3 times same code. Funny thing is it had 1 fault and 1 error code they both was the same but one had the letter p behind it??????

New tune up, battery, alternator, coil pack, somebody said it might be a bad pcm. I just dont wanna start buy parts that i dont need
