Hi All,
I have an '05 Sport Trac that doesn't like going anymore?
When cold it starts, idles up to about 1500 rpm and stalls.
When put into drive with the brake on it idles better and can start to warm up.
As soon as you give it ANY throttle it sputters/hesitates and stalls.
I can't even get out of the driveway to take to a mechanic?
I'm not much of a mechanic, but I have checked the basics.......
Battery cables are clean and on good, gas cap is on, tank is 7/8 full of gas, all fluids look to be normal levels.
Exhaust stinks???
The check engine light is now on and staying on (it knows it has a problem?)
Is there any way of pulling codes up on the digital readout or do you require a code reader?
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
