05 Taillights in an 03

As I was driving behind an 05 X today I realized those style tails would probably look very nice on my truck which is an 03. Will they fit without modifying the truck?

Will the ones on the left truck fit into the right truck?

Yes but not plug and play, do a search for 4th gen tails on a 3rd gen, there are people here that have done it

I did the swap on my '04. Had to install 1 new socket per light, change 1 over....and install different style retainers and screws to mount them. If you do a search in the modified '02-'05 Explorers I have pictures posted afetr the swap on my post "hood scoop finally installed".
