Hello all

First time posting on this forum. My issue is an annoying power locks not working. If you press any of the power lock buttons, you can hear the click at the relay under the steering wheel. But the locks do not open or close. It doesn't matter if you use the keypad nor the alarm keyless entry. Right now I could not even be a gentleman with my wife since I have to open with my key on the driver side and reach to open all doors manually. Now every once in a purple moon, when I turn on the vehicle and put in drive you'll hear the locks activate, if I don't hit the unlock button to open them immediately my tailgate will lock and I won't be able to open it until it decides to do it again.

Oh one more thing.... The glass on my tailgate will lock and unlock every time with the power lock button.....WEIRD

Maybe a relay or a fuse going bad?

Power lock issues are hard to deal with. The Smart Junction Box (SJB) controls all of the power lock functions. It activates internal relays to supply correct voltage and grounds for the door lock actuators. There is a special diagnostic tool that can communicate with the SJB and provide DTCs. If you don't have that, its kinda hard to do any troubleshooting. I would reccommend taking it to the dealer. There is a couple of things you can try though. Pressing the 7/8 and 9/0 keys on the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) Keypad System will lock all the doors. Try that and see if it works. Check fuse 3 (50A) in the Battery Junction Box and fuse 6 (20A) in the SJB. You might even have to replace the SJB itself. Hope this sheds some light on it for you.

Pressing 7/8 9/0 keys does nothing. Tomorrow I will check the fuses mentioned. I will chime back in on the results.

Thanks for taking the time to respond.

Check to see if the power lock button located in the rear of the vehicle, on the left side near the tailgate, is stuck in the locked position. I have had this happen to me on two different occasions.

I dont think 4th gens have those.

Yeah, they do (7 passenger), Just saw ours for the first time last week. There is no handle to get out though... I don't think.

Edit: REAR LIFTGATE

"The liftgate area is only intended for cargo, not passengers. You can open
and close the liftgate from outside the vehicle. It cannot be opened from
inside the cargo area."

So, why the door lock switch?
