'07 EB Performance issues

Has anyone used a "Power Programmer" for the '07 EB V8? I have minor transmission shift issues, (Mainly slow engagement), moderately low gas mileage, (15 on the highway), and a general desire for more oomph off the line. I have looked at a number of programmers, and when I actually made a decision and sent for one, (The Accel Power Programmer 87100), the vendor comes back and says not only has Accel discontinued the device, but she could not find anthing that supports the '07 EB V8.
Anybody out there actually used one? If so, how'd it work out?

Check with your local dealer. There has been a TSB for an update. The transmission has had a few issues and the update is said to have fixed them. We've had out '07 updated, but I haven't had the time to take it for a quick ride.
