07 Explorer Limited Nav Problem??

The navigation disc drive in my explorer seems to spin even though the radio and/or ignition switch is turned off. The disc spins until I open the door of the vehicle or until it times out (5min.) Is this normal? The dealer isn't sure!!!

It might not be the CD spinning. I also have it and I think the sound is the small fan on the Audio head unit( Pioneer AVIC). But its possible that the navigation disc has to be access off and on.

It's probably the fan cooling off the unit after shutting down.
