Anyone with an '08 with Sync add the factory nav to their car? I've seen someone add an Explorer nav to their Edge. I have the opportunity to buy a brand new nav from an Edge with Sync. I want to add it to my Explorer, which also has Sync. Will I have to get it programmed? Where does the antenna install?

Thanks :)

Ok well I bought this today. I don't have the antenna yet, but there are a few issues so far.

1. My "voice" and phone buttons on my steering wheel don't work. I'm assuming this is a programming issue. I'll have to get it programmed for my Explorer instead of the Edge.

2. I can't adjust the date and time. Weird... Maybe because I don't have the GPS antenna so it can't sync with the satellite??

Everything else works.

Hey, i wonder how much you paid for the navi and all the trouble?
Because i have brand new 2009 explorer navi for a cheap bargain.
Let me know who is interested .

The date and time issue should be resolved once you get your antenna. As far as the voice and phone buttons not working, I'd agree that it's more than likely a programming issue.

A little update. I got the antenna today. It actually replaces the current Sirius antenna on the roof. I haven't gotten around to doing that yet so mine's on my dash right now with the wires running through the air vents.

Date/time issue is fixed now that the antenna is here. The only thing left to fix is the voice and phone buttons on my steering wheel. Now it looks like the Nav with Sync cars have a different steering wheel switch than the No Nav with Sync cars. Switch is $50 so I might try replacing the switches and see if that works.
