Hey Guys/Gals

I am new to modifying a four wheeler but not new to four wheeling if you can believe it. I previously owned three Chevy S10 Blazers and have now graduated to a 01 XLT 4 door with 5.0L AWD 3.73 LSD.

My questions is with all the threads discussing a TT in the front and shackles or add-a-leaf in the rear to raise the Explorer about 1" plus to allow for 31's does this have any negative effect on shocks. I recently installed Rancho 9000's that stated they were for 0 lift.

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Bob

ive had the 9000's for around 40k miles with my lift and no problems...

1" wont do anything..

Thanks for the quick feedback. I am anxious to give a 1" lift a try, esepcially since the price is right.

Undecided on tires though. Have had great experiences with 3 sets of Michelin LTX A/T and therefore hesitant to another tire without hearing a lot of good comments.

cant go wrong with the bfg allterrains or the bridgestone deuler revo allterrains both seem to be great tires

I have the exact same setup and I love the BFG A/T's!

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I have a similar question. Sk1er said 9000s will work with a 1'' lift, but what if I install 9000s on my stock height X, and want to do a TT and shackles, and then an additional 2 inch BL? How will this affect the shocks? Will they have to be re-mounted? Will they not work with this setup at all? I don't want to get these shocks, then want to raise it a year or two down the road, and have issues.

Thanks in advance!

a bl has nothing to do with the shocks

So I could throw the shocks on now, and do the TT, shackles and BL down the road with no problems?

Thanks a bunch. That is awesome.
