In the left (drivers side) rear of the suv, loudest behind the tire, I am hearing a loud whinning noise at a high pitch. However, this is only a noise that s not constant. I also have when driving a loud thumping noise similiar to what a compressor sounds like, not constant, this sounds as though it is in the area of the undercarriage in the way back, cargo space, of very rear, of the vehicle.

Any help with this if possible woud be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum! No need to shout, a mod may ask you to fix your post..

The whining noise coming from the driver's side left is probably your fuel pump, and is a normal sound, though it should be constant..the pumps on these trucks are fairly loud..

As far as the thump in the very back, have you checked to make sure the spare is tightened all the way up underneath where it's supposed to be? The handle is under the hood and there's a small hole above the bumper in the rear somewhere towards the center where you put it to access the mechanism to raise and lower..
