100% hot or 100% cold with no in between.

My heater/air conditioner temperature control switch won't change the temperature of the air coming out of my vents. If I put it to all the way to cold it works or all the way to hot it works, but I have no in between adjustment. My explorer is a 96 limited if that makes any difference. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Do you have a thermometer to verify the temperature which is displayed on the front panel? Do you have an A/C manifold pressure tester to check the PSI while it's running?

Infrared Thermo says temps desplayed are the actual temps coming out of vents +/- 3-5*. No i dont have an A/C manifold pressure tester.
