this is my first post, and i'm currently in the market for a 2012 Explorer.....just saw the Ford site has $1000 rebate off of 2012 explorers...still the same APR though..... i also saw "additional promotion" $1200 mobility motoring program..... what are the details on the mobility motoring program, i can't seem to find the details for it.

edit::: just found the mobility motoring program details...that's if you add a wheel chair ramp, hearing device. etc..... so i can disregard that discount. but the $1000 is still in effect,,,,,now to see if i can get the $750 certificate before i go into the dealership.

Seriously take advantage of it NOW before it expires, what region are you in?

Disregard your in Tejas!

I just checked Florida and its still $500..

i will take advantage of it.....i'm waiting on sales guy to get back with me at the end of the month so he can push my deal through.

$1000 rebate

I just looked and the rebate is available in IL. It used to be $500 but now it's $1000. The fine print is below:

Program #11968:Take new retail delivery from dealer stock by 10/3/2011. See dealer for residency restrictions and complete details

It's not clear to me whether an ordered Explorer is considered "dealer stock", though.

I have the same question about "dealer stock".

I ordered my EX, and was told by the salesperson that the rebate could be used, even though I wouldnt recieve or pay for the SUV until after the deal expires.

I hope he knows what he is talking about.

The rebate when I ordered was $500, and now it is $1000, but the rebates appear to expire on Oct 3.

Has anybody else dealt with this situation when ordering a new car?

Thanks.

Sweet! I ordered with X-Plan and will be taking Delivery on Sept 19th. Hopefully I'll get the brochure before then that supposedly contains another rebate.

IT worked for me you'll get grandfathered, just as long its ordered and you have a Purchase Order done and of course the Credit Card for deposit on file with them you'll be alright!!

Question; i have my brouchure $750.00 rebate, the dealer stated he would honor it, since it was 2011 brouchure for the 2012my, but were do yo find the 1000.00 rebate, is ti on the incentives portion of the Ford site? Let me know my car will be ready Sept 1st at the dealer.

Check closely to make sure you have the correct discount.

In my zip code, there was a $1,000 discount offered the other day on 2011 models. The 2012 discount was $500.

Discounts vary by region, so that may have been my area.

What you need to do is record the "program #" and give it to your dealer. They can see if it will work via their dealer systems.

And they really should check - because if Ford won't honor it, then it is coming out of the dealer's pocket - if they are willling to.

Hey guys!
Great info going back and forth about incentives. Please visit: www.Ford.com/Incentives to see what is currently available. For questions on terms and conditions of any offer, please see your local dealer for eligibility. You can also call our Marketing Program Headquarters @ 800.334.4375 and they will definitely assist.

$1,000 was for FWD ......... not the 4WD option .. that's $500
