12/5 Metal Jingling noise, now shaking

This morning I noticed that my truck had a sporadic jingling noise that came from underneath somewhere. Best I could describe it is like if a rock was in your centercap or something like that. It only happened when moving, but wasn't constant. On the way home, it seemed to get louder at one point, then go away. Now when giving it gas to cruise at 35 I get a horrible shaking. If I coast, or put it in neutral it doesn't do it. It also doesn't seem as bad if I floor it. I have been through my share of trannys, and neither of them went out in this fashion. No OD lights are blinking or anything like that. You think it could just be a loose valve body or something?? Other than this, the engine runs fine, and the tranny shifts fine. U joint wiggles at the tranny a decient amount. But would that explain the jingling??My truck is so festive.

What part of that sounds good?

"U joint wiggles at the tranny a decient amount. " Is this 4WD? I had a rear bearing mount in the transfer case wear and you could lift it up and down about a tenth of an inch. Think you have to at least start with that problem before you look elsewhere.

yes it is 4wd. I will try replacing the ujoints today, have a bad feeling those are not the problem though.

i had that kind of noise and it was my bearing not an x though..but it was metal noise like thin metal tinking( i know not a word lol) together

Update: Replaced the ujoints, and all is good. Thanks for the replies.
