Well, my dad had a 12 disc changer in his dodge ram pickup, but when he decided to sell the truck, he took it out and gave it to me since his new Expedition has an in-dash changer. I searched and searched, but can't find any pics of first gen's with changers. Where have you guys mounted them? I've seen some of you second gen guys mounted them in the center console, but will this work on a first gen? Trying to do some research before installing it Monday or Tuesday. Thanks in advance!

Measure the size of the CD changer and the console. If it's close in size to each other they probably will fit, you might have to cut out the bottom of the console and stuff or you can mount it under neath the rear seats. I've seen a few 1st generations with them mounted underneath the rear seats.

i dont know about the 1st gens, but my 98 explorer, i put my jvc cd changer right under the rear passenger seat portion on the right side of the vehicle, it fits great, and when i fold the seat, it doesnt affect anything.

Thanks guys, I ended up putting it under the rear passanger side seat. I wanted to put it in the console, but I couldn't get it to fit. Maybe I will get some pics up if i get the digital camera I wanted for christmas :D
