Hi!

I am planning on mounting rear-facing lights and some other electricity-consumers in the back of my 99' Explorer.
Are there any factory mounted 12V feed which I can use or is it the best to run a new cable straight from the battery?

Best regards

If it's lights, then I would run a dedicated 12v wire. You will also need a relay for the on/off switch. If you used existing 12v from existing equipment, you might cause fuses to blow or worst a fire.

Run a new feed with all the propper fuse and swith... what other electricity consumers are you going to hook up.If you are planning to add light, amp, sub and anyother things maybe look into adding a auxilary battery but only if you think you'll be run a lot of electicity at the same time.
