I will be hooking my Sirius up and need to find what color the wire is that provides the 12volts to the radio when the key is on or in the "acc" position. I will be pulling the setero and tapping off of the harness.

Thanks

get one of those voltage testers with a spike, and a light. then you can use any switched wire to jump off of.....

I understand that I can take my probe and check, I want to use the radio line so that when I turn the key off and remove it the sat stays on like the radio. I know the harness is chock full of wires, just wanted to know which color to start probing......

oh ok. look on installdr.com and they have pretty good diagrams of the connectors on factory stereos, and maybe you can look at that to determine the right wire. you may have to buy diagrams from somebody. maybe in a haynes manual.

I'm pretty sure it's yellow. But do a quick check with the DVM just to be sure.

my diagram shows Audio Unit pin#10 BK/PK coming from the Accessory Delay Relay Switched Power.

I can confirm this. I just pulled my head unit, found this Black/Pink wire on pin 9 of the 16-pin connector (the connector closest to the side of the radio). I wired this directly to power my XM receiver, and it works perfectly - the XM receiver turns on whenever the radio is on, including after the ignition is turned off (until the door is opened).
