If you're truly worried about it, you could stick a battery powered detector in the cabin. These can be had for less than $20 at major hardware stores. Fancier models now have an LCD display which tell you the ppm levels of the gas, and will record what the high level is until you reset them.
It seems though that these incidents may be isolated, so you're probably fine just being aware of (and keeping an eye out) for the symptoms. If people or pets start feeling sick / dizzy, it may be time to get the vehicle tested.
