I'm stupid. Will 15x10 rims fit on my Explorer with no lift and factory tires?

um, i belive that 10 inches is WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY too wide for stock tires. just my opinion though....

Yeah, I think stock rimes are 7 inches wide????? And if that were true, 10-inch wheels would probably be too wide for stock tires like Bob said.

Are you getting some sort of deal on 15X10s?

tires

I plan on throwing some wider tires on there too I guess. Whatever can fit. The tire stores around here have just told me that 10 inches is too wide but it looks to me like I have plenty of clearance. You think if I got wider tires then everything would be ok? Or is a lift the only answer. I'm getting a pretty good deal on some 15x10s by the way.

well heres the deal, im GUESSING the thinnest tire you could possibly put on there is a 10.5, which means you might be able to get some 31x10.5s on there without any lift. however, it would be better to get bigger tires than that, and then you would have to do some kind of lift. there is a guy on here that 44x15 tires on his 15x10 rims, now that is sweet, but he has 19 inches of lift installed

jeems,
I run 12.5" wide tires on 15x8 rims. I would not run 10" wide wheels with 10.5" tires. If you aired down , I would be willing to bet that you will pop a bead if you had to do a hard turn. Most everyone I know that runs 15x10" wheels are running 13" and wider tires.
