I am in the process of purchasing a set of BFG AT K/O's 265.75R16's, but noticed that I would have to go to 16" rims from my '97

Checking at the local store they had basic steel 5x4.5 pattern for the same price that I could get a set of aluminum 16's from an '03.

This shouldn't be a problem I assume, just wanted to know if anyone else has gone this route?

should I consider 275.75R16's? as I have approx 2-3 inches lift already?

:salute: I,ve got some 16 rims off of a 2000 ranger great shape they are the 5 spoke angular rims the rims you see on 2000 up rangers and explorers that are 4x4, they come with tires interested let me know jds3403@hotmail.com

02+ Explorer wheels have a +44mm offset vs +12mm on stock 97 wheels. That will pull the centerline of the tires inward by about 1 1/4" on each side. Combined with the larger x-section 265 tires, it is very likely that you would have rubbing issues on the inside while turning.

The Ranger wheels in the post above would be a better choice because they have the same +12mm offset as your Gen2 Ex.
