First post! Glad to see there is a great forum for these SUV's.
Got a question for the experts as I've searched and searched, but couldn't find my exact answer.
I've rebuilt the front end on my '97 4 door 4WD ex FBI Explorer. Went to balance the tires and three of the rims were bent. The tires were about done anyways and I have some 17" Mustang GT wheels I threw on to drive the thing around.
I'm searching for some tires. The stockers are 235/70/15's and I'm thinking 255/55/17 will be damn near the same diameter. But, with the 17" wheels - will it look goofy?
Anyone out there with pics of these mounted on their X's? Will 255's even work?
