I've been dealing with this code for about 2 months now. No noticable driving problem's or idle issue's . I've been clearing the code and it comes back within 24hrs. Now it's been over a week and it been fine, no code. Now it came back. I know the sensor replacment procedure, just wondering why it's been over a week and all of the sudden it's back again. You would think the sensor is either bad or it is not!

2004? Fuel Pressure and temperature sensor (same part, two functions) lies beneath the upper intake manifold, on the fuel rail. Basically, it tells the computer (PCM) how fast to run the fuel pump to maintain fuel pressures at the rail, and thus, to the injectors. This is known as "Returnless Fuel System", as no fuel is returned to the tank, as in the past.

Your PCM is detecting erratic signals from the sensor, and is telling you it may quit altogether. Soon? No way of knowing. Mine (2004) was displaying similar code, on and off, for several months. I finally decided to replace the sensor, as I was expecting to be "dead in the water" suddenly, somewhere in hell and gone. The sensor was like $40, the job fairly easy. Hardest part is accessing the rear manifold hold-down bolts. A "stiffening" lip protruding from the firewall is in the way. Good luck. imp

Ok thanks! Yes, 2004. Do you recall where you bought it? I cant seem to find one any cheaper than $80.
