While I had the cluster apart I took this picture. There are 2 white 194 LED bulbs on the left & one in the center. The stock one is on the far right...along with 2 burnt out ones. The square tubes with the lights are the dummy lights.

They are definity whiter that the stock ones when looked at directly like the center one but they don't diffuse well to the side. I maybe able to pry them apart next time I get in there.

you can tell the difference.

i've wanted to convert my dash lights to leds for a while now, or if not just at least put new bulbs in so the miles and trip meter light up a whiter white.. i just Know getting to the bulbs isn't an easy task.

the dash panel will fit back on with the leds in right? i know that leds are slightly larger than your regular bulbs probably bout 1/4 inch

The bulbs are actually smaller than the stock ones. At night it actually makes the dash blue because of the blue filter under the stock gauge faces.

Here's some picts from the place I got them from.

what brand of LED's are those?

my apc 194's were huge! wouldnt' even fit into the side markers i wanted to put on the x.

where did you get them at
how much?

Can you still use your dimmer switch? i didn't think you could use a dimmer on LEDS?

You can dim LED's.

The dimmer is just a rheostat that increases/decreases the voltage to the bulbs. Works for LED also.

Harry,
I take it that you have to completely disassemble the dash to get to the bulbs? Some of my bulbs are out.

Hey, Harry, that's one hell of a post!!! I'm a member of various forums on the web, I'm not sure if I've ever seen as much time, detail, and attention to a "project" post!! GREAT JOB!!!

Anyway, looks like my process will differ from yours somewhere between your 14th an 15th image.

Let me seee if I can ask this where it makes sense:

As for the image below is that what I'll see when I remove the gauge cluster (image 15 in your inglo post)?

Also, will I be able to access the AC bulbs one I remove the radio trim?

Man, youve made it look so easy. I was just going to replace the bulbs, but I may go indiglo now. It REALLY looks SHARP!!!

Mousin- The credit all goes to bigtigexplorer. He did the write up.

Yes, that's what you'll see. The black colored tabs are the gauge lights. The tan ones are for the dummy lights.

The A/C panel should be easy to get to after you remove the radio bezel.

Has anyone replaced the dome or puddle lights with those LED's? Will the 194's fit in the same slot as the 912's?

does this fit the corner lenses...(194 LED)
