New here and my first post. I recently purchased an 84 Bronco II for my teenage son. All was well for the first month or 2, however it now sits in my driveway with a blown engine. I have been trying to decide what to do with it. Do I want to fix it/swap in a newerish motor or do I want to try and get rid of it. Roughly how much am I looking at to do a swap from carburetor engine to a FI engine vs. putting a donor engine? I found a remanufactured engine block from autozone for $1700. Trying to find a used engine in NE Ohio isnt easy. If I am fixing it I am also looking at doing a new exhaust system as there is a crack in the Y where it comes off the headers before the cat. Any advice would be appreciated.
