1988 ford ranger

i have a 1988 ford ranger with a 2.9L i just changed the clutch and stated having problems after it use to be just when it was cold but now it is every time i start the truck. well every time i stat the truck i have to give it gas and miss fires and back fires and dies usaly by the 3rd time of starting it it will stay running this all started after i broke the wire off my O2 sensor and ran for a week with out it. i finaly went and got one put it on same problem my friend said the temp sensor so i got a new one and put it on and thats when it stated acting up every time i start it insted just when its cold some one plz help than you so much

se if you have adequate presure coming out the tail pipe might be a clogged cat

Truck

Well about a year ago I replaced the control modular on the back side of distribute and it finely started acting like it did back then so I took the modular off and the metal backing was coated in some type of white gummy stuff not sure what it was but I took it to the wire whell and then cleaned spot were it went and waited for truck to get fully cold (2hrs) later and started it right up and drove like normal
