Hey guys, Thanks to all the great posts that have helped me in the past, but this one I have to ask because I cant seem to find an answer to. Ive been having some tranny issues, and have not drove my ex nearly as often. I go out to crank it, and it will not start. Turns over great, plenty of battery and starter speed,I also hear the fuel pump come on. I have removed 1 spark plug and it fires as I turn it over. I also got a smell of raw fuel while cranking with the plug out.Have tried starting fluid, to no avail. Would the MAF keep it from starting at all, or does it just keep it from running smooth. Thanks in advance!

Honestly had not considered that, yet. Has been running great, like someone flicked the off switch!

My '94 just pulled the same trick...

Wife called from work a little after 5. Turns over great, plenty of power. In 6 years I've never had a serious problem with it. What did you come up with on yours?

Thx,
David

Sure did. It was the MAF sensor. unplug yours to see if it will crank then. Made no sense to me, but it would start unplugged.Hope this helps.

i had a ford tempo that did the same thing. unplug the MAF and it would run, but pulling the koer codes revealed the TPS. changed the TPS, and no more problems... just a thought
