1991 Explorer. Problem with stereo wiring.

this is the only wiring diagram I can find:

Left Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): Orange/Light Green
Left Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Light Blue/White
Right Front Speaker Positive Wire (+): White/Light Green
Right Front Speaker Negative Wire (-): Pink/Light Green
Car Audio Rear Speakers Size: N/A
Car Audio Rear Speakers Location: N/A
Left Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Pink/Light Green
Left Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Tan/Yellow
Right Rear Speaker Positive Wire (+): Orange/Red
Right Rear Speaker Negative Wire (-): Black/White

everything on it matches up except the speaker wires.
My explorer's speaker wires are:

white orange
white red
purple white
light blue
light blue black
yellow
green
brown

and I have a random unidentified thick red wire.
I have used trial and error with all of the wires, and still cannot get a single speaker to make a sound. I have installed this same head unit in a honda accord, a dodge dakota, and a jeep wrangler without issue. is anyone has any tips they would be greatly appreciated.

What type of OEM stereo was in the truck? Was it the AM/FM/Cassette with a toggle type volume switch? If so, the truck has an external amplifier that needs to be bypassed. The factory amp is behind the passenger side trim in the cargo area, right above the wheel. Here is a link which has pictures of where the amp is located. Crutchfield has a wiring harness that you can use to bypass this amp. Once the amp is bypassed you can use a 9 volt battery to verify speaker connections by quickly touching the wires to the battery. You will hear a pop from the speaker if you have the correct wires.
