- 93 Eddie Bauer
Hello all, I searched in the past topics and I couldn't find a thread on this.
I have a 1993 Eddie Bauer Explorer and the drivers side door sags when it is opened which causes it to be pretty hard to shut. The upper hinge pin and bushings are certainly worn out. I saw this listing on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=418&item=2242893004&rd=1
I have read many posts stating that changing the entire upper hinge is a real pain because alot of the dash has to be removed. I figured I would try just replacing the pin. Here is the delema. This Ebay item lists that it will fit
Ford Ranger, Explorer, F-150, F-250 and F-350. Model years 1980 - 1998
I can't see how that is possible because I went to Autozone and they had the hinge pins and bushings for the F-150 series and they were much longer in length and much fatter in diameter than the ones on my Explorer. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. It is getting pretty hard to close my door and I really need to fix it. Should I replace the entire hinge? Is it as difficult as they say it is? Thanks!!
