hi,
i have a 1994 Explorer 4WD 4.0L and it dies instantly when i shift to reverse or drive but not every time yet... i have had it for 3 years no problems except for replacing a leaking break caliper and line. It idles at about 800-900rpm in park and when in drive at 500-600rpm not sure if that has anything to do with it but thought it might help. If you need any other info you need let me know. If anyone has any ideas please help it is my daily driver and need it to get to the babysitter and work.

Also, i have always wondered why sometimes it just goes in to low range 4wd when im driving not always but sometimes... is that some sort of traction control?
